Double Rainbow - Mocksville, NC

We have arrived in Mocksville, NC for the IMAC (International Miniature Aerobatic Club) competition this weekend. The weather was rainy today and two rainbows appeared side by side. It was really pretty! The Mocksville radio control club is in the middle of a farming community with miles of fields.

Flying on the Mountain

A favorite pass time of Thomas and Anthony is to fly the helicopter out in the field. Anthony is so sweet. He just hangs on to his daddy's pant leg and stays right with him.
"Daddy, that was pretty good flying but can you make it land on top of the mountain?" "Sure!"

All Dressed Up

We were all dressed up and stopped by after church to visit with Grammy Hanks, Anthony's great-grandmother. She had washed his blankets and he wanted all four of them!

Good Progress.....

Heather finished one of five courses for her counseling board certification (took 105 hours to complete). Not so good for the blog updates since every free minute has been focused on completing courses and tests.

The Lyons family came to visit with Granny and Paw Paw. There are always a special treat of popsicles and movies that the children love to watch. Anthony sat with his cousin Dylan and Brooke for over an hour watching a movie!

Nap Time

Anthony and his daddy are taking a nap after a hard day of play. Thomas is such an excellent father and watches Anthony during the day while Heather works on her counseling certification. They have so much fun together!

Wythe County Flyers

We are at the Wytheville, VA Flyers Club today for a little rest and relaxation. Anthony is so small he can stand up inside the airplane "hanger" under the bus. He loves helping his daddy with the airplanes.

Anthony did something super cute, all on his own. He picked up his radio and his airplane then walked them out to the runway. He put the airplane on the ground, backed up, moved the radio controls, and nothing happened. Anthony then checked it over again, made a second attempt, and a third before giving up with this confused look on his face. He went and got his daddy's radio thinking it must be his radio that was the problem. It was almost sad...we really wanted for his plane to take off for him but it just wasn't that kind of toy.

When we got home, Anthony's daddy got his little yellow helicopter out for Anthony to fly. Anthony also got a mini orange helicopter that his daddy bought him from Wal-Mart for Anthony to fly, especially after the sad attempts to make his toys fly at the airfield.

Anthony's New Bed

Anthony was out growing the pack-n-play we used for his bed while traveling on the road. So we found this toddler bed that folds up to the size of a small duffel bag when not in use. He really loves his new bed! Granny Debbie came over to watch movies with Anthony and to check out Anthony's new sleeping quarters.
