Memorial Day Picnic

Memorial Day was a beautiful time at Mom and Dad Cockrell's house. Thomas' sisters, Christy and Stephanie, and families joined us for a picnic.

Anthony met so many interesting critters during our visit, including a king snake, chickens, ducks, and rock fish!

Later in the week we were able to have a really nice dinner with Anthony's great aunt and uncle, Bonnie and Tommy (Thomas) Anthony. The names were neat to introduce, "Anthony Thomas met your great uncle Thomas Anthony!"

Grandma Cockrell spoiled Anthony upon arrival with a new walker, frog toy, and high chair. Anthony really wants to come back to Grandma's soon!

Joe Nall 2008

The annual Joe Nall event in Woodruff, SC is a big time for the Harris family. Last year Anthony was in Mommy's belly so he slept really warm in the tent. This year we stayed down the road at a Hampton Inn.

We had a great time with great friends and great weather! Anthony was a real trooper all day with his feet up on the stroller tray and his little sunglasses. Thomas sold his 50% scale airplane (shown below in our yard)...yeah! The 50% scale airplane was 1/2 the size of the real airplane and bigger than our car!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was a great Mother's day. Heather actually celebrated a Mother's weekend! The celebration began on Friday with a trip to the hair salon for a hair cut. Saturday was a day of shopping and pampering with a manicure and pedicure.....and the car was cleaned inside and out. Today was a nice day out for dinner.

Anthony got Mommy a sweet card. Daddy helped him put his hand prints on the inside. He still has black paint under his fingernails....it was worth it. Thomas found a "wonderful wife" card that said it all.

Mother's Day was so much fun that we should celebrate throughout the year, at least once a month!

After 77 years, Papaw Southern (Donald Lee Southern - Heather's Grandfather) made his journey home to Heaven on April 29th, 2008. Anthony was so blessed to have met him February this year. We will miss Papaw very much.

Today would have been Papaw's 78th birthday on this 8th of May. Happy Birthday, Papaw! We know you are celebrating with all our family and the angels in Heaven. We love you and look forward to seeing you again soon!
