The Christmas Spirit Hit Us!

The snow was on its way and the Christmas spirit hit us! We set out one of Anthony's present from Daddy and Mommy....an old school Radio Flyer red and beige tricycle.  We bought this tricycle four years ago, Christmas 2005, our first married Christmas together in Virginia. When Heather saw it she said, "If we ever have a baby, I want our child to have this tricycle."  Four years later, after it was packed away in three different houses, Anthony rode his tricycle.

Paw Paw got an electric guitar tuner and water bottle holder from Anthony. Granny Debbie got a book, "Life Is Good At Grandma's" with lots of true sayings and fun pictures of Anthony and Granny. Anthony likes to get in the floor, look at Granny Debbie, and say, "Sit. Sit" as he points to the ground.  They like to sit on the floor and talk.

"I charge..."

Anthony did the cutest thing during play time today. He found a wire, turned his airplane over, stuck the wire in a hole, and said "I charge." He did it all by himself and kept on saying, "I charge." He was charging his airplane's pretend battery. It was so cute!

Granny Hanks Turns 84!

We celebrated Anthony's Great Granny Hanks' 84th birthday with dinner (Grammy's favorite, Burger King Whopper Jr.,heavy onions) and a brownie cake with cream cheese icing! Yummm! We had to light the candles several times so Anthony could blow them out.

Angel From On High

Here's the story of how Thomas became an angel. Last Sunday morning, Chuck (church member) was dressed up like a Roman soldier and was trying to get people to sign up for the live nativity at the fairgrounds this weekend. Chuck said to me, "Your husband said to talk to you about the navitity." I said, "He did? Well sign him up!" If he sends someone to me, I'm going to sign him up! So tonight Thomas was the Archangel Gabriel in the live nativity play.

After the nativity drama, every one came inside

the building for hot chocolate and cookies!

It was SO cold outside....21 degrees!  Every year there are hundreds of people that come to see the Heritage Church live nativity drama. It's really good and will continue through the weekend.

Just for Fun...

Anthony enjoyed playing with his Wal-Mart stickers his Great-Great Uncle Sam sent to him. Sam works at Wal-Mart in North Carolina as a greeter and occasionally sends Anthony stickers in his cards! Thank you, Uncle Sam and Aunt Lucy!

Anthony helps his daddy repair Grandma Hanks' deers. The lights had went out on them and needed a new set of lights. Anthony was so cute and a big help!
