Changes For The Harris Family

We are going through some of those life changes where God asks for us to step out on faith and trust Him in all things. March 31, 2008 was Heather's last day working at DeLaRue Cash Systems, Inc. Not bad since the original severance letter was dated last March 2007.

The Charlotte office closed in 2007. Heather continued to assist with projects. Thank God since April '07 was when we found out we were having little Anthony. DeLaRue management was very supportive all the way through maternity leave this year and upon return even blessed us with a trip to Monte Carlo as you can see below in an earlier posting. However, with the 2007-08 fiscal year coming to an end 3/31/08, there just wasn't a new position in the budget.

It is difficult to trust with no fear or concern for tomorrow when God does direct your steps elsewhere. From the very beginning, Romans 8:28 (NIV) has been our rock on which we stand.... "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose." All things will work out for our good because we do love God and are called according to His purpose.

Another favorite....Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

For now, Heather is enjoying being a stay-at-home Mom and Thomas continues to grow the business we began in May 2006, Done Right Construction and Services, Inc. So far with the business, we have been successful focusing exclusively on real estate closing repairs.

Keep us in your prayers as we seek God's perfect plan!

Anthony's First Laugh

Today Anthony started laughing for the first time! Daddy was playing the "Get Ya" game and it brought out the giggles. Anthony has also found his thumb! Later this evening, Anthony just couldn't keep his eyes open as his Daddy sang to him. Very quickly he was down for the night.

Visit with Poppy and Memaw

Poppy and Memaw stopped by to visit Anthony on their trip from FL to VA. Anthony loves his Poppy and Memaw....all smiles. Before they arrived Daddy (Thomas) took a video of Anthony smiling when we told him Poppy and Memaw were coming and then showed Anthony the video on the PDA. Saturday morning, Anthony smiled at Daddy (Thomas) while he was getting dressed for the day.

Shop Buddies

One thing in common with these two is they both like to be on the move! The workshop is a great place to hang out....literally hang out there!

A Miracle! Anthony Slept Through the Night!

We were really excited when Anthony slept 7 hours straight on Sunday night (3/02) from 8:40 PM to 3:40 AM and then again on Monday night (3/03) from 10 PM to 5 AM...in his own bed! It has been 9 weeks since we slept more than 2-4 hours at a time.

Each morning we found him snuggled up in the corner with his angel bear that great aunt Karen gave to him.
