Heli Flight - Trash Night

The helicopter Thomas got for Father's Day took flight. Thomas has been a real natural flying the helicopter.

Monday night is take-out-the-trash night. What would have taken about five minutes or less turned into a two-hour event with the tractor, trailer, and a tour of the country side. Paw Paw Bill, Thomas, and Anthony were out until dark.

Chuck E. Cheese's

Granny Debbie treated Anthony to Chuck E. Cheese's today. He was able to get some straws, a foam dart gun, and two suckers with his 164 tickets. We had fun!

After we got home, we took the bus out for water at the Claytor Lake State Park. Granny Debbie and Paw Paw Bill experienced their first ride in the bus. We watched Gaither music DVDs while the bus tank was being filled with water.

Anthony Goes to The Barber Shop

Today was Anthony's first trip to an ol' style barber shop. He cried the whole time but when it was all said and done, he had a really nice cut and his very first lolly pop sucker!

They have the original barber chairs from the first shop on Main Street. Anthony's Paw Paw Bill has been getting his hair cut at the family shop since he was a teenager.

Happy Father's Day!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!
No better way for this dad to spend Father's Day but at the airfield! We are at the International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC) competition in Charlotte, NC.Before heading back to Virginia, we stopped by to visit with Anthony's Great-Great Uncle Sam and Aunt Lucy. A father's day present was waiting at home....a helicopter! Big smiles!

IMAC - Charlotte, NC

We're partying at the International Miniature Aerobatic Club (IMAC) competition this weekend in Charlotte, NC across from the Lowes Motor Speedway. Primo and our friends were all there surviving the extremely hot weather. The temperature has been over 100 degrees with the heat index!
It was so hot that Heather and Anthony spent the day with Anthony's Great-Great Uncle Sam and Aunt Lucy. Sam and Lucy have a garden with lots of vegetables. We had such a great lunch with fresh squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other garden fresh veggies.
We joined Thomas (Daddy) back at the airfield later in the evening for a cookout.
