Flights and Flip Flops

Anthony's fun this evening began with flights on the simulator and trying on Mommy and Daddy's flip flops. At 20 months old, Anthony is well on his way to walking in his daddy's shoes if he keeps up his flight simulator practice!

Chores at the Dreher Island State Park

Anthony started taking out the trash yesterday. He didn't want any help carrying the bag to the dumpster. It only took 20 months to get some help with the chores! He's such a big boy!
Then Anthony helped Mommy with the laundry!
Washing the bus turned from chore to fun when the sprayer began to "rain"! Anthony ran around saying, "Rain! Rain!" Too cute!
The lake has been really busy this weekend with lots of boats! We will be leaving on Monday morning, traveling to North Carolina to visit friends and family.

Fire In The Camp...We're All Safe!

We've had an exciting afternoon as our electrical box burst into flames while camping on Lake Murray in SC. Thomas grabbed the fire extinguisher and put out the fire but the outlet was faulty and wouldn't trip the breaker. So the box continued to burst into flames over and over again until the park ranger showed up and turned off the breaker at the main box up the hill.

Park Ranger Matt replaced the outlet and now we are back enjoying our vacation. It is not our plan to see Smokey Bear on this trip to the park! Hopefully we won't have any more problems with the outlet. The only damage, other than the park outlet on fire, was our converter plug attached to the bus melted in the flames. We were able to replace it at a nearby camping store.

Lazy Day at Lake Murray

We're enjoying a lazy day at Lake Murray!
Along our walk today we saw many beautiful views of the lake!
We walked all around the park looking for the playground. We found it...right across from our campsite! It was so well hidden in the trees that we didn't see it before. Anthony had fun going down the slide!
We have a swimming pool that fits inside the shower for Anthony on the bus. He uses it during bathtime to play with his toys and splash in the water. Anthony has about outgrown his swimming pool!
