Light Up The Night

Thomas' Newest Airplane
Thomas put 138 high intensity LEDs lights on it!

We should be hearing reports of UFOs flying over the town soon from people who don't realize it's just an airplane!

Extraordinary Women

Marsha and I attended the Extraordinary Women conference this weekend in Roanoke, VA. The theme this year is "Free to Be Real" which is exactly what God has been saying to Thomas and me about our Free to Talk Ministries, Inc....free to talk about real issues. We seek to find those who are in pain, suffering, and in need of help, giving them the freedom to speak freely.

"You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!"
John 8:32 NIV

Autumn Begins!

Autumn is here and so is the drop in the temperature!
It has been in the 50-60s...cold!

Anthony and Granny Debbie

Dad Southern and Neighbor (Robert) take turns running the tractors back and forth to load gravel. The barn is completed and now the project of filling in the roads has begun!
T
Thomas rents a ditch digger and puts in a dump station for our bus so we do not have to go out to the state park to dump the water from the bus. We have a large water tank we are using to store water and replenish when needed.

Fly-For-Tots...Victory Junction

Fly-For-Tots raised $27,100 for Victory Junction,
a free camp for children with serious medical conditions.

The noon day demo was really cool! There was a demo of four airplanes flying in sequence and they were REALLY close together!

Cutting the runway with the flying mower!

A full scale Stearman flew by the field. A raffle was giving away rides at the local airport on this plane!

We labeled this event as "Crash Fest 2009"! There were several crashes from a jet ($8K-9K) to war planes and helicopters to an aerobatic plane and pattern plane.....the list goes on and on! Anthony said it all with his expression! He just said, "Gone! Broke!" when the airplanes crashed!

At the end of the noon day demo, airplanes were loaded up with candy and dropped from the sky for the children!

When the sun began to set over the horizon, Thomas and Anthony took one last opportunity to fly the helicopter. Anthony is such a big help and stands right with his daddy inside the pilot's flight station.
